Relative to the NO TAKE POLICY on illegal Gambling, personnel of Limay MPS led by PLT SEDLEY T CUENCO under the direct supervision of PMAJ RANDY P APOLONIO, conducted anti-illegal gambling operation (Cock fighting) in Purok 4, Saint Francis 2, Limay, Bataan that resulted to the arrest of the suspects,72 years of age, married, jobless and a resident of Lower Tundol, Reformista, Limay, Bataan and 28 years of age, with live-in partner, fisherman and a resident of Purok 4, Saint Francis 2, Limay, Bataan while actually engaging in a game of change a Cock fighting. RA 9287 primarily amends PD 1602 which imposes penalty to any person taking part in all forms of illegal gambling by exclusively increasing the penalties on jueteng, masiao and last two while leaving other enumerated illegal ganibling activities with the same degree of penalties. People who would be arrested for illegal gambling will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9287 or the act increasing the penalties for illegal numbers, games, which amended certain provisions of residential Decree 1602. *7-11 and any game using dice;
*Blackjack, lucky nine, poker and its derivatives, monte, baccarat, cuajao, panguingue and other card games;
*Paik que, high and low, mahjong, domino and other games using plastic tiles and the likes;
*Playing slot machines, roulette, pinball and other mechanical contraptions and devices;
*Dog racing, boat racing, car racing and other forms of races;
*Game fixing, point shaving and other machinations that involves basketball, boxing, volleyball, bowling, pingpong and other forms of individual or team contests;
*Banking or percentage games, or any other game scheme, whether upon chance or skill, wherein wagers consisting of money, articles of value or representative of value are at stake or made
Even those simply possessing gambling paraphernalia or materials related to illegal games and activities aforementioned may be apprehended.Ra 1602 Illegal Gambling
A person can be imprisoned from 30 days up to 16 years, depending on whether they are a bettor, a staff of an illegal numbers game operations, a collector or an agent, a controller or supervisor, a manager or operator and a financier or a protector.
